Eric Hill is a JKF Wado-Kai 3rd Dan who has co-directed the
Developmental to Elite
Sport-Karate Program at the United States Olympic Training Center in Lake
Placid,
New York since its inception in 2002.
Eric is especially known for his work with younger developmental
athletes, having had
several athletes from his program place on the U.S. National Karate Team.
He has co-authored the book Kumite Concepts with WKF World Champion Tokey
Hill.
This text is written with the athlete in mind and introduces them to many
concepts in
sports sciences and conditioning.
In addition Eric is currently working on a grassroots coach/athlete
development program
titled ELITE, an acronym for Elite Level Integrated Training Experience.
This program
offers developmental pipelines for both athletes and coaches alike giving
both the
opportunity to learn advanced training systems developed on site at the Olympic
Training
Center and other elite venues.
A traditional karate practitioner, Eric has a unique perspective
of sport-karate and offers
alternative methods for training to compete at the international level.
